Andres’ passion for training started while playing football at Classical High School in Providence, Rhode Island, continued throughout his enlistment in the United States Navy, and was integral in completing the physically demanding US Air Force Tactical Air Control Party apprentice course. After separating from the Navy in 2009, Andres decided to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island. In the summer of 2012, Andres completed an internship at EXOS (formerly Athlete’s Performance) in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where he gained valuable experience working with the Argentina Rugby Men’s National team, NFL, NBA, collegiate athletes, high school athletes, and, members of the United States Special Operations Command. Upon completion of his internship, Andres became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
While completing his Master of Science Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Bridgewater State University, Andres worked at NEST training local athletes including those from Moses Brown, and St. George’s Preparatory School. From May 2014 to July of 2007, Andres worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Brown University where he was responsible for Rugby, Fencing, Golf, Equestrian, Men’s Tennis, Volleyball, Freshmen Crew, and getting exposure to the remainder of the 38 Varsity team program. Andres also has experience working with adults of all ages using Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting and other varieties of functional fitness.
